Be Encouraged: God is making sure every detail of our lives will work together to cause good to come out of it.
“So we know that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good, for we are his lovers wh9o have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.” (TPT, Romans 8:28)
There is not one terrible, horrible, rotten, incredibly bad, shattering, crushing thing you will go through in life that God is not at work or cannot cause something wonderfully good and beautiful to come out of it. We don’t have to know how he will accomplish it. In fact, it may not even look as though any good can come out of it, but all is necessary is that we believe he can and believe he will based upon his love, character and sovereignty.
Sometimes we’re too close to a situation or it may be too fresh to see this is possible. That’s natural. But holding this truth close to our heart and believing it with all our mind and might, reminding ourselves that it is so, will help us stay encouraged and strong throughout.
At times, looking back and recounting those situations God did this very thing in the past will help you stay strong and hopeful in the present. Remembering how God did not fail you, or leave you, disappoint you, or even surprised you with what he did afterward, after the fog had cleared, will give you something to look forward to, no matter how difficult or terrible things may be at the time. One thing we can always remember is that if God has allowed it to exist or touch our lives or person then he already has a plan in place to do something wonderful, amazing, and good through it. Let’s pray,
Dear God, I truly adore you and am amazed at how you can cause something beyond good to come out of things that are the very worst to experience. I must confess it’s hard to keep this truth in mind when times are very dark or difficult but I’m very thankful that you remind me through so many ways and people that its true: you are great and can do all things including bringing good out of bad. Because Jesus is my personal Savior and is living proof of what you can do in this way, this promise is sealed over my life and I am not hopeless but can live with expectation and hope. Amen
How has this been proven in the past? How will you apply this powerful promise Paul writes about in your present circumstances?
How will you incorporate this promise into your plan of self-care?
