Jesus, Your Conqueror
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. (Romans 8:37, NASB)
It is Jesus in you that helps you conquer feelings of inadequacy, jealously, fear, pride, disappointment, anger, frustration, resentment; all those feelings that arise or seek to set up permanence in your inner being. We may attempt to get past or overcome these strong emotions and attitudes, using worldly methods and suggestions—and they may appear to work for a while—but unless we are helped by Christ who is our Chief and true Conqueror—they will resurface and eventually destroy our peace, even our relationships and good future.
God made us for good purposes and desires we have a full and satisfying life and relationships. He will enable us to live bravely and break the holds unhealthy and overwhelming emotions can have over us. Break free of them for good, not temporarily or for just a brief season. Jesus conquered death on the cross and that includes the death of our soul due to overwhelming, debilitating emotions and thoughts. He came out of the grave, not captive to his past life and the way people treated him, but he emerged victorious over eternal death and every emotion that could have held him in a grave. He rose not just as a conqueror, but your conqueror in all things! Let’s Pray,
Dear God thank you so much for sending your Son, Jesus to secure all things for us including becoming our conqueror over overwhelming emotions and feelings. Because he rose from the dead as a conqueror, we also are conquerors in our life and experiences. Amen
